Puzzle Path

Enzo looked. "Maybe we have to cut up the table and put the 'organs' in jars?" He looked around hopefully, trying to see if there were any jars.

Hazel wrinkled her nose. "We don't need the brain, I know that much. For some reason, the Egyptians thought it was worthless and just trashed it. Take the brain through the nose, then take other organs and put them in jars..."

"hmmm you sure? I always thought it was the lungs that the trashed." Ryan is said still thinking about the problem.

"No, I'm positive," Hazel said firmly. "I don't know about the other organs, but I know we trash the brain..." She looked embarrassed. "We're actually... learning about ancient civilizations in Social Studies. Hence, Egypt, and the mummies. We should definitely circle the brain."

Ryannie looked at her," well it's been awhile for me... so what do you guys think."

Hazel looked at the others impatiently. "I think it's the brain. Anyone object?"

Enzo's inspection does yield results. Looking around the room, you notice four jars placed on the other side of the room, with another door besides the one you entered in.



Eil's Wisdom also confirms the suspicions the group had. It is indeed pertaining to the Egyptian mummification process. She also does recall that the lungs were taken from the body,and put into a jar.

Can't help you other people until you use your skills. Also Advent is very much on the right track. Keep in mind that the devil is in the details.

Hazel uses her wit to find out which organ to trash as she beams at Enzo.
"Enzo, that's a great idea! They do put the organs in jars.... We could try cutting them out." Then she frowned. "Maybe there are important inscriptions on the jars. That could be the way we're supposed to categorize the organs."

Hazel frowned. "Okay... The only ideas I have is that the inscriptions are either in hieroglyphs or cuneiform. Anybody got anything else?"

Perhaps someone with some wisdom?

Ryannie looked over the symbols and tries to use her wit to see if she could remember anything.

Enzo tried to recall anything he knew about Egyptians (Wisdom).

((I remember you have to put the right organs in the right jars, and they have to have the right cap on the jar...))

"Right," said Hazel. "We just need to find out what the symbols on the jar mean. That will probably give us a clue about which organ corresponds to which jar."

Ryannie's Wit can't find any more details about the jars that the group doesn't already know.

Enzo's Wisdom bears some fruit however. He does recall that the four heads on the jars represent a different Egyptian god, and they each protected a certain organ. However, without any real organs, this information is not very helpful.

You are all generally on the right track, but you seem to have forgotten the original problem, being the man on the table. Perhaps the two puzzles are related?

Enzo tried to use his Wit to work out what they had to do. "Maybe we have to draw the jars on the table?"

Enzo's Wit doesn't yield any new results. You think that you already have the necessary information for how to solve the puzzle.

Why are you all using Wit for this? There is no element of human interaction involved here. The subject is a human, but otherwise I don't get the confusion.

And you all seem to have forgotten the "cut circles to reply" part of the puzzle.

"What's not needed?" asked Enzo, thinking. "The brain? The arms?"

Hazel scrunched up her brow. "It only said 'circle which is not needed'. I know the brain isn't needed. Unless anyone objects, we should cut it out and see what happens."
Then she looked at the others.
"I know this sounds silly, but... Maybe we should see if anything is inside the jars...?"

Ryannie shrugged," yeah you are proably right. The last time I studied this was in 6th grade."

Hazel grinned at her. "Well, it just so happens that I am in sixth and we're learning about ancient Egypt. I'll circle the brain if you guys don't object. Gael, Enzo, Caylee, any suggestions or objections?"

Hazel looked at the others. "Got anything that I could use to circle it?"

Iron Knife is there just for that.
