CLE Episode Four: Madame Einstein

Here's a brief summary by Queen. The translation should hopefully be out later today, since there's someone on Tumblr who's done them for the past three episodes.

Thoughts:

I really feel like they're improving episode by episode. I thought they kind of upped the ante on this one, and I was actually scared for Yumi. I knew they would save her, but at the same time, it was like in the past seasons, where you could feel that every second really counted.

I'm not sure how I feel about Laura yet. I thought she was kind of eager, and that wasn't a great thing to do, following William, but I'm reserving judgement. She seems smart and interested in Jeremie?? Idk, I was just surprised that she was so open about trying to follow them and find out what their group was doing. But then again, I'm also confused right now since the translations haven't come out yet. I'm hoping she turns out to be a force for the good though.

And as always, Odd is adorable, and his actor is so perfect for him. I liked the part at the beginning where he jumped onto that ledge thing behind Jeremie, because that's totally something he would do.

Yumi's driving was hilarious, though I hope we see a return of that vehicle. The bit with Odd and Ulrich arguing over who would get to drive was funny, and it's nice that Quentin and Gulliver seem to have chemistry, as in a decent friendship outside the show. I think you can tell that the whole cast likes each other, really.

So! What did you guys think of it?

I'm not a huge fan of Laura, granted this only the first time we've seen her. I was a little disappointed that Jeremie was shown up by her (I mean, come on, he's Jeremie Belpois for crying out loud). His nickname is Einstein. Poor William, I feel bad for him. He was a beast on Lyoko last time he went, and with Aelita being the only one taking down monsters (with the exception of Odd), they clearly need his help. Yumi's driving is terrifying! Ha ha. She looks like she has road rage. Jealous Aelita is hilarious. Overall, I thought it was a good episode. I hope Laura's character gets better though.

Yeah I'm also not sure I feel about Laura yet but I will agree, jealous Aelita was very hilarious! I'd like to see more of that in the future.

And poor William! How long are they going to hold XANA's control over him over his head? He proved himself very useful in episode 2, yet they are still turning him away. It's really not fair and it better get resolved. I really hope that this doesn't become a recurring theme because William has already proven himself helpful.

Gulliver once again shows that he has embodied the essence of Odd. Seriously. Everything he did in this episode was so Odd-like, it was great. I can't understand how people are angry at his character because he really is the live action version of Odd!

Overall, I definitely enjoyed this episode and I can't wait to watch it with subs.

I just need to say, I really don't like Laura. I just find her really unnecessary and annoying. She just interferes with Jeremie and Aelita's relationship and that just really gets on my nerves. I don't really ship JxA but I'd rather have that be a pairing than Jeremie and Laura. And as for Aelita's jealousy, I didn't really find it funny, I just kind of agreed with how Aelita was feeling, and had the same emotions as her.
I'm pretty sure Laura will be seen in a lot more episodes... I just hope she doesn't mess things up.

Butttt, I liked the rest of the episode. I love it when they go to Cortex.

I have always loved a jealous aelita, so as long as she gets Jer in the end, I'm willing to see how these two play together.
