Code Lyoko Evoluton: Summer Break

"Alright, so I've been thinking." Jake said to Aya.  "Since you cannot stay at the school yet, I've got a back-up plan."  He took out his phone and looked at his phonebook on the screen.  He then selected his older brother's name, John Masterson.  (I hope you guys do not mind this... but, if you do, I'll change it ASAP.)

"You can stay with my older brother." he told her.  "He doesn't live too far away from here.  If you want, I can walk you down there.  My brother's got a house with about three bedrooms and everything."

Aya looked at him and shook her head "I rather not stay with someone I dont know..." she said, looking at the ground "it would be...weird.. and I wouldnt talk to him like I do with you guys.." she looked back at him "Why cant I stay with you?"

"Well, I was going to finish." Jake replied.  "I might go back to my brother, since the circumstances are... rather high.  I have my room and my bro can set up the room you will stay in, which is across from mine.  And, besides... he, sorta knows what I do... well, sorta."  Jake smiled and laughed. 

"This is the only option that is much safer than you staying in my dorm room." Jake added.  "Besides, if you stay with me and my bro, we'll keep you safe.  Maybe, I can persuade him to let you stay in the same room as me if you want... you know, to keep you safe."

Aya blushed and she shrugged shyly "Whichever is best..." biting her lip, she looked down at her shoes "Thank you, Jake. I really wish I could pay you back for what you're doing for me." she felt special. Though, then she felt selfish at the same time "I feel like I'm being selfish..."

"You're not selfish." Jake told her.  "You really do need a place to stay and a place to be safe.  This is the least I can do to supply all that you need.  That's what close friends."  Jake gently held her hand.

"And... you don't need to pay me back." Jake informed her.  "Like I said, it's the least I can do.  Keeping you safe from harm is my priority at the moment."  He cleared his throat, slightly blushing. 

"So, anyways... could I...  Could I ask you something?"

Aya smiled alittle hearing what he had said. It made her feel a bit more better inside. SHe looked at their hands, seeing that he was holding hers. She felt a pain in her heart. But she shouldnt feel the way she does because it was only holding hands..and not what she did with Jonathon. Lifting her eyes to look at him, she spoke "Sure, just make sure I know what it is." she giggled softly

"Do you think it's wise... to keep a secret from those you care about?" Jake asked her.

Aya looked at him "It would depend on what secret it is. One that would hurt your feelings, or ruin something that you like. Sometimes, some things are meant to be a secret."

"Ah, okay." Jake said in reply.  "Just asking..."  He smiled.  Inside, he felt relief, since he did NOT want to make Aya feel anymore uncomfortable than she already feels, since she loves Jonathon.  Admitting his feelings right now is not the best move and this little secret should stay a secret.

"Okay, so, I will call my brother, John, and I will tell him to get the room ready." he told her.  "He won't argue with me about that.  I'll get you later today and I will escort you to the home.  And, by the way, since John is going to be new to you, I'm going to tell you that he is a Police Officer and sometimes... he has some off days.  So, if he's really tired, just let him take a nap... Well, if you are going to stay with me anyway."

Aya blinked "Wait, you're leaving me?" she asked "I'm guessing so because you said 'I'll get you later today'" she would just get lost if he left her alone on her own. For all she knew they wont be able to find her if she disappeared. "Also..I understand about your brother..I wont bug him.."

"Well, nevermind..."  The elevator doors opened.  Jake led her out.  "Let's go to the forest.  I walk with you."  Jake quickly changed his mind, since leaving her was not on his To-Do list.  He decided to stick with her the entire time, not letting her out of her sight.

AYa nodded "okay." she smiled warmly and she walked with him "Hey, Jake?" her eyes went right back to him "Do you think we can take a walk around the buildings on the other side of this bridge? I wanna see what it looks like so if I ever got lost, I could always come back here."

"Sure." Jake replied, smiling.  "Let's go.  It's a beautiful day out, so, let's enjoy it."  He led her out of the factory, still holding her hand, making sure she wouldn't walk out of sight.

Aya was excited "Yay! So, people live inside some of them right? Kinda like how I did with the towers in lyoko?" what more could she ask for? she had forgotten all about the world, even as a young child she lost the memory of it. Getting tied to lyoko really took out the names of things in the real world "Hey, Maybe we could find where I used to be before I went into lyoko! Thats if I could remember it."

"Well, people live and work in a lot of these buildings." Jake said.  "However, some of these are old and people just don't go into them anymore.  However, buildings like these, people work and sometimes live inside them.  But, it's a little different than the towers in Lyoko."

"Oohh I see. Okay! Makes sence. Could you tell me what some things are? I only know a few things like trees and the floor, as well as a wall and screen. Oh! and grass, ice, um...rock. I feel like a baby by how much I know..." she blushed deeply then she heard something and she jumped slightly, grabbing ahold of Jake, she then spotted a kitten approaching them "J-Jake, what is that?!"

"Relax, it's a kitten." Jake replied.  "It's a kind of cat.  It's totally harmless."  He knelt down on the ground with one knee.

"Come here." he said to the kitten.  "C'mon, come here.  It's okay, we're not going to hurt you."  The kitten slowly approached him.  When it did reach him, it purred as Jake scratched behind its ear. 

"See, not so bad, huh?" Jake asked Aya.  "Here, you try."

Aya got down onto her knees and she was still a bit afraid, reaching her hand out she lightly petted the kitten "Its so soft...I wonder if its a boy or girl..." she giggled and got more confident, picking up the kitten and holding it "Awww its so cuttee!" she held it to her and lightly petted it "Can we keep it?"

"Well, do YOU want to keep it?" he asked her.  "It's up to you."  He smiled.

Aya nodded "yes! its so cute! but..what does it need? There has to be more things becides just the kitten itself..."

Liz heart beat faster as Jeremie smiled. Boy, did she like him! "Okay, Jeremie. Call if you need anything. Can I give you my cell number?"

Jeremie said his goodbye to Liz and sat at the computer. After nearly 3 hours the scanner was finally finished and a human heart lay in a sterile container at the center of the scanner. It was a good thing he had thought to put the container there. "Eeewwww," he said as he plugged his nose.

well, time to get the next step started.


he went back up to his computer and began the cloning process, he made sure to program in the computer the fact that we were not going to create a brain with a conciousness, just an empty one.

Liz gave Jeremie her cell number and said goodnight. She began the trek back to school in order to get some sleep. "I hope Jeremie gets sleep as well," she said as she finally laid down in bed and drifted off to sleep, hoping not to have the same nightmare she has every night.

Another 4 hours later Jeremie took out the sheet of paper Liz had written her number on.

DID SHE REALLY GIVE YOU HER NUMBER?!?!?!?! MAYBE SHE REALLY DOES LIKE YOU........nah, probably not. It's probably just something reasonable like needed to be kept in the loop.


Speaking of which, she needs to be kept in the loop. Jeremie pulls out the app on his computer and calls her. He hoped she wasn't already asleep, what if she didn't wake up, or got annoyed?
